A "Family Affair" with the Christensens...

Spend an evening with James Christensen, Cassandra Christensen Barney and Emily McPhie.

 James is inspired by the world's myths, fables and tales of imagination. He would like his artwork to add up to more than just beautiful. His hope is that what ever he may create, it will convey a message, inspire or bring a smile. He believes that if people would use their imaginations, they might be able to find solutions to the everyday stress. In short: all things are possible when you share Christensen's philosophy "Believing is Seeing".

 Cassandras' images capture the heart and souls of the heriones and everyday women she creates. Her portraits carry a range of emotion reflective of the events that have shaped their character. Not always outwardly pretty or majestic, but they all share a quiet beauty that asks us to listen and to feel.

 A wife and mother to three daughters Cordelia Lavender, Clover Iona and Ezra Petunia. "Motherhood has brought out some pretty strong emtions and ideas".  Emily wanted to be able to translate the thoughts and emotions into images that would give her clarity. "I wanted to document them before my perception changes".
